Our name, Raqs Roqs!, means dance rocks! as raqs is both the Arabic and Farsi (Persian) word for dance. As the name Raqs Roqs! embodies, our mission is to bring the joy and excitement of Middle Eastern and North African music and dance to our communities. Wearing colorful, traditionally influenced costumes, Raqs Roqs! performs folkloric and Oriental (nightclub/cabaret style) dances to authentic music from various regions of the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and Central Asia. We also have modern interpretive numbers in our extensive performance repertoire.

Raqs Roqs! performs at community and corporate events, festivals, senior centers, schools, libraries, charity, and social events. We add just the right amount of sparkle, beauty, wonder, fun, education, diversity, and entertainment to any function – let us suggest a program for your next gala event!
